    • Sad to see you go?
No, I’m not really going anywhere.  Now that we have completed our book Rock the World with your Online Presence, I’ve migrated to a better blog with my partner, Mike O’Neil.  I also blog for our company, so maintaining a personal blog as well seemed a bit much. But I don’t want to take this [...]
    • LinkedIn updates the iPhone app
Just downloaded the new update for the LinkedIn iPhone app. The great thing is that I can now see my inbox and – joy – accept invites! Great job guys!
    • Can you recommend me?
I was recently engaging in a discussion on the LinkedIn group “Top Recommended People”, where Marcelo Fernandes asked “Does becoming a Top Recommended person help or might it cause problems?” While acknowledging that some people might aspire to be a Top Recommended person, his argument is that it could cause problems for people if recruiters [...]
    • Marin County Officials Endorse Career ReBoot Camp
I am posting this press release to my personal blog because I, along with my partner, Mike O’Neil, are featured speakers at this two-day event, touted as the largest conference in the country to assist Job Seekers. I want to do all I can to help get the word out for this important undertaking! NEWS [...]

    • The value of socially responsible small business
At Denver’s Local Capital Summit, the keynote began the day with a challenge: “where you get your money matters.” Many of us remember Plough and Hearth and other small garden supply companies. Three mentioned by Will got funding that resulted in their purchase to public companies. One is now gone and the mission statements of [...]
    • Do you want to be Social Media Savvy?
Those of us who are social media savvy speak the new language like we grew up in the know. We forget that not everyone has had the opportunity or the desire to embrace this new Internet technology. Let's break down some barriers.
    • When Experience Matters…
Unless the profile belongs to a job seeker who understands that they need to show potential employers their skills and talents, many LinkedIn profiles are lacking in a very important area, experience. Showing on the profile below Summary, Specialties and any plug-ins may give one a false sense of security. However, the important point is that by including as […]

About Lori…

I’m heavily involved in social media and business networking and, so often it’s about everyone else. Well, in a sense this is to, but for me, it’s a bit different because this is my own voice. A solo if you will, when I usually sing in a chorus. But I do love people and look forward to hearing that you read my words, found value and left comments to share with others, enhancing their experience on this site as well.

If you’d like to connect or have burning questions, I can be reached at www.LoriisOnline.com.

Summary

I work all the time! “Do what you love and you’ll never have to work a day in your life” (Harvey McKay). I use social media to make connections, build relationships, and do business with people I come to know and trust.

Social media is here… It’s not going away, it’s not a passing fad… it’s where your customers are spending their time. If you want to be where your customers are, you want to be involved in social media. Integrated Alliances can help. We’ve helped companies and individuals shorten their learning curve and have guided them toward a strategic path to success on many of the popular business platforms including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and others.

You’ll read blog posts, articles and books about trends in Web 2.0 tools for technology, for sales, for marketing, for recruiting, for educators, for small business owners…. We’ve trained over 7,000 professionals in more than 400 classes/workshops/webinars/seminars/conferences all over North America. We’re represented by knowledgeable trainers & coaches coast to coast, many having earned certification from IA.

I love collaborative tools, connections and interactions online. The strategic partnerships and PR received is unbelievable and has allowed me to fulfill some of my lifelong dreams, like visiting Nova Scotia and working as an executive at a leading national training company. That’s important because I love training development and being a thought leader. I’m asked to speak, teach, and provide immersion programs for companies and organizations, non-profit, for-profit, governmental, educational, and everything in between.

If you want to be Social Media Savvy, start with my blog, attend a free Q&A webinar, and then look at our training line-up or ask about managed services. We’re here to help! IA is the biggest, oldest and most experienced social media training company in the world, so you don’t have to look anywhere else!

One Response to “About Lori…”

  1. Hi Lori,

This Leave a Reply feature on your blog is very cool. How do you install it?

We’ve been working almost around the clock on the Career ReBoot Camp event. It’s coming together quickly. We should have all our logistics and speakers in place by next Tuesday.

Let’s talk, if possible, sometime later today.

    Best regards,

    Eric
